On one of the colder days we were in aspen on our New Years holiday, we took a walk through town. Looking around at the other people milling about all bundled up, I realized how unaffected I was by the harsh temperature. I really began to appreciate the style, design and level of warmth of my newly purchased down jacket. The manufacturer of this wonderful parka is Duvetica, an Italian company. Duvetica jackets are distinguished from others by their high quality down (with a high filling power). The down used in these beautiful jackets comes from grey geese raised in Périgord, France.
Not only does Duvetica seek out the highest quality down, they take great care in its preparation–making sure that it is washed and dried with “minimal chemical impact” in order to protect its natural waterproofing capabilities.
