London Fashion Week ~ GYPSETGIRL in Fashion for Conservations Elephantasia

One of my life long dreams came to fruition on the runway at none other than London Fashion Week last October. I realize it’s hard to go wrong with the all of the beautiful couture, gorgeous people, and autumn charm swirling about one of the most iconic cities in the world, but having the opportunity to see one of your own designs on the catwalk is an experience unlike any other. I feel so privileged to be a part of such an important campaign.

The GYPSETGIRL Elephant Dress in London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2018.

GYPSETGIRL’s Elephant Dress appeared in Fashion for Conservation’s Elephantasia show alongside 23 other uber talented international designers. Seen in British Vogue, each and every piece was inspired by the majestic, gentle and tragically endangered elephant. The show sought to raiseĀ  both awareness and funds to put a stop to poaching and to ensure that future generations are able to experience these truly unique creatures.

I drew my inspiration for the GYPSETGIRL Elephant Dress from a baby elephant. The hammered gray silk of the body represents the textured skin while the crinkled silk of the sleeves represents the ears. This chic and flattering piece can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion and the gorgeous color is flattering on all skin tones.

I was absolutely blown away by the creativity demonstrated by all the designers in Elephantasia. No two pieces looked the same and yet each one found a way to breathe new life into the concept. How perfect when you consider that no two living creatures are exactly the same.

I am thrilled to announce the the GYPSETGIRL Elephant Dress, as well as my entire Spring/Summer 2018 line, is available for purchase online now on the GYPSETGIRL BAZAAR! Our mission is far from over and a portion of the proceeds are contributed to WildlifeDirect.
